- Issuing requests for quotation and tenders, and evaluating quotations with the engineering, commercial and project teams.
- Leading commercial negotiations and placing purchase orders and subcontracts, including under NEC4 or JCT.
- Managing supplier and subcontractor performance, change control, payment milestones and contract compliance.
- Running expediting, transport and logistics, including freight, customs and import where needed, and delivery sequencing to site.
- Keeping accurate procurement and contract registers, and reporting on commitments, variations, risks and expediting status.
Candidate Requirements
- Significant procurement, supply chain or contract management experience on major EPC, construction, infrastructure, energy, utilities or industrial projects.
- Experience managing complex procurement packages, suppliers, subcontractors and logistics providers.
- A strong grasp of supplier evaluation, negotiation, expediting, quality assurance and contract administration.
- Experience with NEC4, JCT, design and build or framework contracts, including change control and claims.
- The ability to read technical specifications, scopes of work and contract conditions.
- Strong Excel skills and experience of procurement and project controls systems, with a degree or equivalent in procurement, supply chain, commercial management, engineering or business.
- MCIPS, RICS or an equivalent qualification, and anaerobic digestion, wastewater or utilities experience, would be advantageous.
What's on Offer
- Salary of £65,000 to £75,000 per annum.
- Permanent, full time.
- Based in the Bristol Area, with travel to supplier facilities, logistics locations and UK project sites.
- The chance to own procurement on a major renewable energy project for a global business.
