Site Technician

 

Altera Recruitment Group is working with a leading engineering services provider delivering specialist installation, maintenance and refurbishment solutions across the water, wastewater and environmental sectors.

 

Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint a Site Technician to support the installation, servicing and commissioning of mechanical and electrical equipment across customer sites throughout the region.

 

This is a hands-on role offering a varied workload, extensive site exposure and long-term progression within a growing organisation.

 

Key Responsibilities for the Site Technician:

  • Install, service, repair and commission mechanical and electrical equipment, including penstocks, valves and actuators
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with approved RAMS and company procedures
  • Provide detailed reports, measurements and recommendations for replacement components where required
  • Travel daily to customer sites across the region, with occasional overnight stays as required
  • Maintain accurate records, including timesheets, expenses and site reports
  • Support junior team members and maintain professional relationships with customers on site

 

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a mechanical, electrical or multi-skilled site-based engineering role
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures and safe systems of work
  • Experience carrying out installation, maintenance and commissioning activities
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively
