Job Description

Quality & Environment Advisor

Altera Recruitment Group is partnered with a well-established UK industrial energy business operating across multiple processing sites, supporting critical low carbon infrastructure and long term environmental performance across the sector.

This is a strong opportunity for someone looking to step into a broader group-level role, where you will have real visibility across several operational sites rather than being tied to one location. The position offers a good balance of autonomy, site engagement, and influence, with direct involvement in environmental standards, compliance improvement, and supporting operational teams across the business.

Responsibilities of the Quality & Environment Advisor include

  • Support site teams with environmental compliance, audits, and day to day quality and environmental matters across multiple locations
  • Maintain and improve environmental management system documentation, reporting processes, and internal records
  • Produce monthly environmental KPI data and assist with internal and external reporting requirements
  • Provide practical support during audits, regulatory visits, and compliance related site activity
  • Deliver guidance and training to site teams while supporting wider group improvement projects

Requirements

  • Previous experience in environmental, quality, HSEQ or compliance within an industrial, manufacturing, or energy environment
  • Good working knowledge of audits, management systems, and environmental legislation
  • Confident communicator able to work independently and build relationships across site teams
  • Strong organisational and reporting skills with good IT capability, particularly in Excel and Office systems
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to operational sites when required

What you'll get in return

  • Salary of £39,000 + £3,000 car allowance
  • Remote working
  • Private medical
  • Additional benefits to be discussed

This role would suit someone who enjoys being close to operations, likes variety, and wants to play a visible part in improving standards across a growing industrial business
