Electrical Project Engineer

Altera Recruitment Group is working with a well established engineering organisation operating within regulated and safety critical environments to recruit an Electrical Project Engineer. This role involves the end to end delivery of electrical engineering projects, combining project coordination, site involvement, commissioning support, and stakeholder engagement. The position suits a technically competent electrical engineer with strong organisational skills and experience working on live engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver electrical engineering projects in line with agreed programme, budget, and quality requirements

  • Manage on site activities, liaising with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure smooth project execution

  • Prepare and control project documentation including risk assessments, method statements, and construction phase information

  • Support testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical and associated systems

  • Monitor project progress, manage variations, and provide clear updates to stakeholders

Candidate Requirements

  • Time served and fully qualified electrical engineer with relevant trade qualifications

  • Proven experience delivering electrical projects within industrial, utilities, or regulated environments

  • Strong understanding of health, safety, quality, and environmental working practices

  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams while maintaining clear communication with site teams and clients

  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to attend sites as required
