Job Description
Altera Recruitment is working on behalf of a well-established UK-based engineering firm in their search for a skilled and motivated Workshop Service Engineer to join their repairs team in South Cheshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for an electromechanical engineer with hands-on workshop experience to contribute to a high-performing team dedicated to the servicing and repair of specialist mechanical equipment.
Key Responsibilities:

Carry out the servicing, repair, and assembly of pumps and related mechanical components within a dedicated workshop environment.

Conduct equipment performance tests and accurately document service findings and actions taken.

Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve technical challenges and support project delivery.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace in line with health and safety standards.

Manage workload efficiently to meet customer deadlines and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills and Qualifications Required:

Minimum Level 3 technical qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.

At least 3 years of hands-on experience in a mechanical or electromechanical workshop setting.

Competent in electrical systems and familiar with motors and/or pumps.

Proficient in written and verbal communication with good organisational skills.

Strong ability to manage priorities and work both independently and within a team.
